Welcome to Vintage BMW Bikes! A dedicated hub for restoring and celebrating vintage BMW motorcycles. I'm James Young, a lifelong rider, restorer, and collector, captivated by two wheels since age 9. Inspired by a photo of Steve Jobs riding his BMW to work, I knew there was something special about these machines. In 1996, I acquired a 1966 R69S and fell in love with BMW’s exceptional engineering, performance, and iconic history. That moment ignited a passion that continues nearly 30 years later. From my base in the Rocky Mountains, far from most rallies and shows, I built this site to unite and share with BMW motorcycle enthusiasts.
